For almost 30 years, Artists’ Mediums of Williston has provided fine art materials, professional picture framing, classes, and informal gallery space at their Williston Location. On April 1, the store will expand to include a new venue: The Artists’ Mediums Art Shop. Located Just off Route 15 in Cambridge, the space has expansive views of the mountains and Boyden Valley.
Owner Chelsea Lindner and her staff are excited about their new venture which will revolve around local artists and crafters with an emphasis on professional quality and fresh aesthetics. The juried selections will focus on the traditional nature-based artwork Vermont is known for as well as more contemporary and innovative offerings. While the Williston location focuses on art supplies and Custom Framing, the Art Shop’s priority is focused on displaying and promoting all forms of Vermont Artworks in a gorgeous setting.
As professional artists and experienced retailers, Artists’ Mediums’ staff believe they are uniquely suited for their new endeavor. “We have always served customers beyond Chittenden County,” said Lindner, “and we look forward to being an integral part of the Norther Vermont artist community.”
Artists’ Mediums Art Shop is scheduled to open on April 1 with a grand opening celebration to take place during Open Studio Weekend in May. Initially, the space will be open Thursdays through Sundays but those hours may be expanded in the future. “I’m really excited about this new space,” said Lindner. “The location is pretty fantastic and this will allow us to provide Vermonters and visitors to the state with a new venue for seeing the tremendous talent Vermont artists have to offer.”
